Grit, Grief, & the Unpretty Way Home

I’m a writer, mother, and survivor who believes the stories we don’t tell are often the ones shaping us the most.

My work is rooted in lived experience, addiction, grief, motherhood, survival, and the long, nonlinear road back to self. I don’t write from a place of distance or theory. I write from inside the mess, with clarity earned the hard way.

My memoir was born from years of white-knuckling, falling apart, rebuilding, and learning that healing doesn’t arrive wrapped in pretty language or tidy timelines. It’s for anyone who has tried to outrun their pain, almost made it out, and kept going anyway. For those who don’t relate to polished recovery stories or inspirational one-liners, but still want honesty, depth, and hope that doesn’t insult their intelligence.

I don’t offer fixes. I offer truth.
I don’t promise transformation. I document it.
I don’t write as someone who was saved. I write as someone who learned how to stay.

Today, my life is quieter, fuller, and fiercely intentional. I’m raising my children, honoring my past without living in it, and using my voice to create space for conversations that are usually whispered, or avoided altogether.

If you’re here, chances are you’re not looking for perfection.
You’re looking for something real.

You’re in the right place.
